"Centering a Multilingual Ecology"

We invite you to share your expertise at the annual ELLSA Conference! One of the most valuable aspects of this conference is the opportunity to teach and learn alongside colleagues who share similar roles and passions in multilingual education.
We’re excited to announce that sessions will be offered in both English and Vietnamese.

We are seeking presenters for 55-minute sessions on innovative work within the following strands:
The focus is on instructional practice and the student experience.
Topics may include:
Scaffolding / differentiation practices, how students learn, integration with other subjects, MLLs with exceptionalities, leveraging technology for access, Identity and belonging, Translanguaging, home language as resource
The focus is on collaborative practices that enhance teaching and learning.
Topics may include:
Collaborative cycle, structures in a team, learning support and counselors, home-school connections, storytelling from your context, co-planning with local teachers / TAs, interdivisional collaboration, specialist integration
The focus is on curriculum development, pedagogy, standards and programs.
Topics may include:
WIDA ELD standards, assessment, EAL teachers as equitable partners in curriculum planning, transdisciplinary planning, bilingual perspectives, inquiry, UDL, CEFR, AFL
The focus is on educators as advocates and leaders in multilingual education.
Topics may include:
Coaching , department heads, coordinating team leads, EAL teachers as leaders, strategic advocacy, research, pedagogy within the curriculum, school-wide initiatives, administrators as learners, connecting to the school mission / vision, faculty PD
Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to submit as soon as possible.
Proposal Submission Deadline: January 20, 2026
Notification of Acceptance: By February 10, 2026
Please note: Registration for the conference is mandatory before your proposal can be considered.
