Pre-conference ONLY 

For those who would like to attend the pre-conference workshop with Eowyn Crisfield on Friday but are NOT able to attend the regular 2-day conference, we are offering a stand alone ticket price 150 USD (Note: There is no Early Bird pricing for this ticket option.)

If finances are a limiting factor to your attendance at the conference, please reach out to us at ellsa@ssis.edu.vn explaining why you are seeking support and any details relevant to your circumstances. The deadline to apply for financial assistance is November 25, 2025. We will notify applicants by email once the deadline has passed. Please note that there is limited financial assistance available.

Airport

The Airport in HCMC is called Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN). It is 15.5km from the school but can take 35 minutes to an hour to reach the school depending on traffic. If you are traveling internationally, please also keep in mind that it can take up to an hour to go through passport control both arriving and leaving the country. You may want to consider using Fast Track Service to skip the line.

Getting to Your Hotel

Grab service is also available in HCMC and easy to book once you have collected your bags.

Another option is to take one of the trustworthy taxis (Vinasun or Mai Linh), which can be found at the far left of the curbside taxi cue. There are plenty of non-trustworthy-taxis that will want your business as well. We recommend you only use one of these two options. Walk all the way to the end of the taxi cue (past the lines, the waiting area, etc), and someone in a Vinasun shirt will be there to help you hail a Vinasun taxi. The cost will range from 300k to 350k.

There are also pre-booked taxi counters before you exit the airport building; these tend to be priced higher, but the price is negotiated at the kiosk. If you are arriving with a small group, this may be a better option.

Planning Your Arrival

The conference will begin at 8:30 am each day and finish by 4:00 pm. On Sunday, we will finish by 2:30 pm to allow you to make your way to the airport.

Vietnam e-visa requirement

Obtaining a visa to enter Vietnam can be very difficult for some nationalities, particularly those holding PRC and African-nation passports. We highly encourage you to begin working on this process as soon as possible. This is the link to the Vietnamese e-visa webpage. It is important that all visa documentation is completed accurately. The Vietnamese border control will not permit entry to anyone without a valid visa, and the smallest incorrect detail will result in a person being unable to enter.  If you need assistance obtaining your visa, please contact ellsa@ssis.edu.

We strongly recommend staying near SSIS due to potential traffic when traveling to/from downtown.

We have two preferred hotels: Novotel Living Saigon South and IBIS Saigon South.

Please make your reservation as soon as possible to ensure a room in one of these hotels as we do expect them to fill up. To register with the ELLSA 2026 Conference rate, please fill out the form and email it directly to the contact listed on the form.

We will provide bus transportation to and from SSIS and these select hotels each day.

Grab is also available if you want to make your own way to the conference. 

All conference tickets include a social event in downtown HCMC on Saturday night. Transportation will be provided. More details to come.
