Tiger Tots is an extension of our Tiger Time program, offering an engaging, enrichment-filled childcare experience to families in the Stewartville School District. Our program focuses on nurturing each child’s development through a variety of activities that encourage creativity, independence, and growth. We offer a blend of child-led, play-based learning along with leader-directed activities throughout the day. Children will enjoy opportunities to explore sensory activities, develop fine and large motor skills, and engage in structured movement-based activities such as music, gym, and both indoor and outdoor play.
While we do not follow a specific curriculum, Tiger Tots staff are dedicated to creating an enriching environment that fosters both social and academic development. Activities are designed to encourage imagination, physical coordination, problem-solving, and teamwork in a safe and welcoming setting. Our staff strives to create a balanced routine, offering fun yet educational experiences that support each child’s individual needs and interests.
Program Information
Location: Tiger Tots is located at the Central Education Center.
Hours of Operation: 6:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Requirements: Children must be 5 years old by September 1 of the following year (kindergarten-eligible) to enroll in the Tiger Tots program. Children must also be fully potty trained.
Program Options
Full-Time Tiger Tots: This option is designed for families seeking full-day childcare. Children will be cared for by qualified and experienced Tiger Tots staff throughout the entire day. They will participate in a mix of enrichment activities, play-based learning, and structured lessons. Children will also enjoy opportunities for movement-based activities with music, gym, and both indoor and outdoor play, all aimed at supporting their growth and development.
Wrap-Around Tiger Tots: This option is designed for families whose children are enrolled in an applicable preschool class but need additional childcare before and/or after preschool or on non-preschool days. Limited enrollment spots are available for each school readiness class. Note: Tiger Tots billing is separate from Preschool billing. This option allows your child to continue participating in a fun, enriching environment outside of their preschool hours.
Pricing and Billing for the 2025-26 Tiger Tots School Year
All families accepted into the Tiger Tot’s program will enter into the following billing contract for the 2025-26 school year:
$38.00 per day, with a minimum charge of 4 days per week. If your child attends 5 days during a given week, the 5th day will be charged at a drop-in rate of $43.00.
On district-wide non-school days, families may schedule their child for Tiger Tots care at a rate of $43.00 per day.
Payments are due within two weeks of receiving an invoice. Failure to pay within 30 days will result in a late fee and potential suspension from the program until the account is in good standing.
Billing will be sent out via email weekly for the Tiger Tots program. Please note that billing is done separately from Preschool for those in Wrap Around Tiger Tots.
