Chess Club

Do you enjoy strategy and friendly competition? Join the Chess Club. All are welcome, from beginners learning the basics to experienced players looking for a challenge. Come sharpen your mind and have fun. 

• First Chess Club session will be Monday, November 10

• Students will meet every Monday and Tuesday at 2:50 in the LMC.

Cross Country Club

Come run, race, and push your limits with friends. In this club you’ll build endurance, learn dynamic warm-ups, strengthen your running, and even have the chance to compete in Delaware County races against other local middle schools.

• First practice September 15 

• Practices every Monday and Wednesday after school at 3:00

Drama Club

Singing, acting, dancing! Students will be performing Suessical the Musical Jr. February 6 - 8. Rehearsals will be after school from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM.

• Audition dates are October 13 and 14.

Game Board Club

Love strategy, teamwork, and a little friendly competition? Join Game Board Club! Play classic and new board games, challenge your friends, and have fun while sharpening your mind. All skill levels welcome!

Homework Club

If you need a quiet space to get your homework done or you'd like any kind of homework help -- homework club will be starting on October 8 with Mr. Bonnell and Mrs. Lucchetta! 

• It will run every Tuesday (room 117) and Wednesday (room 105) from 2:45-3:45.

MathCounts Club

MathCounts club is back for the school year! MathCounts is a national program that allows students in grades 6-8 through use their math skills to solve problems and compete in monthly contests. Students will also have the option train for a local competition held in the spring. 

• Meetings will be held every Thursday from 2:50 - 3:30 pm in room 113 with Mrs. Yarusso.

National Junior Honors Society

NJHS is a leadership/community service organization that leads events in the school and participates in service activities. Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science

The Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science is a club for 7th and 8th grade students who are interested in competing in a state wide science fair. Students who are interested in science follow the steps of the scientific method to design, conduct, and present their own experiments to a panel of judges at the Regional Meet (held at ETR). Students who earn a first award qualify for the State Meet (held at Penn State). This club holds a field trip every year to Penn State for three days and 2 nights. 

• PJAS meets every Thursday after school in room 135 until 3:30pm. 

• Our first meeting will be held Thursday, October 16.

Reading Olympics

Students work in teams to read a selection of books and compete against other schools in Delaware Country with their knowledge! Reading Olympics will take place on Wednesday Oct 8 until 3:30 in room 132. All are welcome to attend. See Mrs. Schwartz or Mrs. Finestone with questions.

Sketch Club

Sketch Book Club is an activity where participants can draw using real objects, images, or their imagination. It’s a space to let creativity flow and share ideas with others. Members gather with like-minded individuals and have the chance to learn new drawing techniques.

Springfield Script Club: ETR's Literary Magazine

Do you love to write? Do you enjoy reading and sharing ideas with other creative people? Then The Springfield Script is the club for you!

We meet every other week after school to:

• Share poems, short stories, and essays

• Review and discuss books we’ve read to spark new ideas

• Work together to publish our school’s literary magazine

It’s a fun, creative space for like-minded students who love words and stories. No experience needed — just bring your imagination!

Come join us and help bring this year’s Springfield Script to life!

Stage Crew

Students will be building, crafting, and painting set and prop pieces for the school musical. Set builds are Sundays from 10:00-12:30 beginning December 21. They will also learn how to work sound and lights during the final rehearsals, the show, and for additional musical concerts and school events. Stage crew meets at various times, but students are welcome to participate when they are available.

The Kindness Club at ETR

Want to make ETR and even Kinder place? Join the Kindness Club! We are a service club where ETR students spread kindness and positivity through fun and meaningful Kindness Projects! Everyone is welcome- because kindness starts with us!

On Wednesday, October 1, any students who may be interested in joining the yearbook club should attend an informational meeting in Room 6 until 3:15.

• March: 4, 11, 18

All Meetings will be held in Room 6 until 3:30. Meetings are subject to change and we may add on additional meetings if needed.
