About

Who We Are 

Deninu School is located in Fort Resolution, NWT, Canada on the south shores of Great Slave Lake and is a part of the South Slave Divisional Education Council (SSDEC).  

 There is a student population of approximately 100, complemented by a staff of 25. The school offers educational programs from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 and is in partnership with the Northern Distanced Learning Program. 

The mission of Deninu School is to provide a safe, healthy, nurturing atmosphere. We strive for quality of education, cultural integrity, acceptance, and individual growth within the school community, thus ensuring the development of productive citizens prepared to meet the challenges of the future. 


Zero Tolerance Policy

We are commited to providing education services to the students of Fort Resolution. 

Any behavior that hinders our ability to do so is not acceptable to us and will not be tolerated. 

Any person, or persons, causing a disturbance or verbally or physically abusing any members of our staff or students (by threatening, swearing, shouting) will be requested to leave Deninu School. 

Failure to comply with this request will result in suspension or the RCMP being summoned. 

We are aware of that we have the right and responsibility to enforce our zero tolerance policy.
