About Ms. Rich
I grew up in Point Loma. I have a love for cats, Star Wars, skating, and board games. I enjoy being creative in my spare time. I also play soccer, and I am a pretty good defender if I do say so myself!
This will be my 5th year in 6th grade and I am excited to be back. In 6th grade, we start using CPM for math and OpenSciEd for science. In class, I value problem solving and risk takers. We are all learning new things and I wholeheartedly believe the process can be more beneficial than the product.
Before 6th grade, I taught 8th grade Math and Science for distance learners in the Santee District. I taught alongside Carlton Oaks' very own Mr. Williams! In 2 years, you will have the pleasure of possibly being in his class. I also did my student teaching in 6th Grade at Carlton Oaks with Mrs. McGrael.
I am eager to get to know each of you and learn alongside you as we tackle 6th grade together!

6th grade follows the middle school bell schedule. We will have elective and PE every day in the afternoon.
Class Expectations
* Consequences of not abiding by the rules will result in a lower citizenship grade, missing out on Friday rewards, and emails/phone calls to parents as well as a conference with the principal.
