August 26th - Back to School Night (TK/K, 6th-8th grade)
September 3rd - Back to School Night (1st-5th)
September 7th - Labor Day (No School)
September 11th - RFA submission deadline (Last day to submit a referral for school counseling for Trimester 1 counseling cycle)
September 21st - First day of Trimester 1 counseling cycle
Complete the Rio Seco Request for Assistance Form if you feel your child's social/emotional well-being is impacting their time here at school. Possible reasons for an RFA submission include:
Inability to calm down
Ongoing friendship/peer conflicts
Worrying thoughts
Feeling overwhelmed
Help with basic needs (food, clothing, hygeine)
2. Following submission of an RFA, please complete the Parent Consent Form linked below.
3. Once an RFA is submitted, the school counselor will determine student needs. If the needs are beyond the scope of a school counselor, the school counselor will contact parents to assist with additional resources or next steps.
