For many of our students, the Year 4 Instrumental Program is the first time that they have the opportunity take an instrument home, receive small group tuition, practice and perform. Our hope is that this will set off a light bulb for many of our students and kick start a life long passion for playing music.

Students choose to learn one of the following instruments: Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Violin or Cello. Each week all students in year 4 receive tuition in small groups led by experienced tutors. 

For keen students, the next step after the Year 4 Instrumental Program is either the Training Band (if students have been learning Flute, Clarinet, or Trumpet as part of the program) or the Junior String Ensemble (if students have been learning Violin or Cello as part of the program).
