What we're learning:

4th grade Language Arts: Our weekly reading story is "Harvesting Hope." We will focus on idioms, relative pronouns, interrogative pronouns, relative adverbs, and reviewing prepositions. 

5th Grade Language Arts:  Our weekly reading story is "The Black Stallion"  We will focus on Greek/Latin Roots and writing titles. 

6th Grade Language Arts:  Our weekly reading story is "Bodies from the Ash." We will focus on Greek/Latin roots, prepositonal phrases, adjective phrases, and adverb phrases. 

*All classes also practice cursive handwriting thoughout the week and read the Saving Shiloh novel. 

5th/6th Grade Science: Finish photosynthesis  

 Health: The body's difenses against diseases 

    Social Studies: The Egyptian Civilization and a Scholastic News article

5th/6th: Practice spelling and vocabulary words, Read AR book for 20 minutes each night, study the reading study guide, and reread weekly reading story on Thursday. 

4th Grade: Practice spelling and vocabulary words, study the reading study guide, and reread weekly reading story on Thursday.

*We could use some more boxes of tissues for our classroom. 

*The end of the third 9 weeks is this Thursday, March 12th. Please, encourage your child to keep working hard and finish out the year strong.
