Read the following information.
To ensure our online assessments meet the required Standards, all students enrolled in South Sydney College's LMS courses are now required to complete an Assessment Cover Sheet, provided at the end of each unit’s assessment tasks.
This cover sheet must be signed by the student after all assessments for the unit have been submitted, and it will form part of their unit completion documentation.
As an assessor/trainer, you must review the student's signed Declaration Form, mark the Unit Assessment Checklist, and sign the Assessor Declaration and Confirmation Form. You will complete the Assessor Declaration and Confirmation Form once all of the student's assessment tasks have been satisfactorily marked.
You can find below a short guide on how to mark the Assessment Cover Sheet.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Cover Sheet Form, you can email them at support@ssc.edu.au.
1. You can access the Assessment Cover Sheet for marking in the Progress Dashboard where you track the student's assessment submission. If you're not yet familiar with the Progress Dashboard, see How to Mark Assessments first before proceeding.
Once you are in the Progress Dashboard, select the Assessment Cover Sheet Form the student submitted. In your dashboard it will also show as "Requires Grading", similar to the assessment tasks.
Reminder: As specified above, the Assessment Cover Sheet must be signed and marked once the student completed satisfactorily all of his/her unit assessment tasks.
2. Once selected, the page form will open a new tab showing the student's signed Declaration and Acknowledgement. Ensure the student has signed the said declaration.
The Assessor/Trainer section you have to complete is located at the latter part of the page. It contains the Assessor Confirmation, Assessment Checklist, Grade and Overall Unit Feedback, your Declaration and signature.
As part of Compliance requirements, you must complete the Assessment Checklist provided by clicking the "Assessor Checklist" red button.
Here's a screen recording of the first two steps for your guidance.
3. Once the Assessor Checklist has been selected, a pop up window will appear. This contains the relevant assessment criteria for the unit.
You must read each criterion provided and tick either "Yes" or "No", depending if the student satisfactorily achieved the said criterion during his/her assessment completion or not.
You can also provide feedback to each criterion.
You can also bulk mark all criteria if the student is already Satisfactory to all tasks. To do this, go to the upper part of the page and find the "Apply to All Observation Points" button.
Beside it, select "Yes". Then confirm and Save.

4. Once the checklist has been marked, the student's grade field will automatically be updated to "1", which is equivalent to "Satisfactory".
5. Add your overall feedback for the whole assessment. Once done, read the Assessor Declaration thoroughly and confirm by signing the Signature Field below.
Note: You may upload an image of your own signature or directly sign the empty box showing in your screen. Once your signature has been uploaded, click "Save".
6. Once done, click "Save" and "Finish". To return to the Progress Dashboard, click "Finish Review".
7. In the Progress Dashboard, the Assessor Cover Sheet status of the student will now show as "Completed".
