Welcome to Room 8

Hello Room 8 Friends and Families! We are going to have a great year filled with lots of learning and growth both inside the class and within our community! I've created this site to help you navigate Remote Learning as your child's learning coach. This this site will be one of our main means of communication regarding class activities and events. You will find links to tutorial videos on the different platforms we will use this year. As well as, a host of other valuable tips and tools. A sincere thank you for your continued support and role during remote learning. Your child will be successful this year because of the strong partnership we build.

About me!

Welcome to Room 8! In first grade, all my Coyote Pups will make great friends, blossom into amazing readers and writers, and enjoy Coyote Creek to the fullest.

My teaching career started in 1992 after graduating from the University of Maryland. All of my classroom experiences have been in the primary grades, teaching in Maryland, New Hampshire and now California.

My husband, Peter, and I have two wonderful kids, Cameron and Emily. Cameron attends George Washington University as a grad student in Economics, while Emily is beginning her training at Paul Mitchell School East Bay as a cosmetologist.

Our family has a dog named Thunder who lazily sleeps most of the day and enjoys evening walks. On weekends, I’m either at 9rounds or enjoying a long hike with the family and Thunder. Afterwards, I like to curl up with a good book and a cup of tea.

I'm looking forward to another fun and fantastic year with the Coyote Creek Community.
