Overview

WELCOME to one of the most exciting experiences in which you can be a part – MUSIC! I am thrilled to be returning to the Los Cerros Family this year FULL-TIME!! (I was split between Sycamore and LC last year.) 

The ultimate goal of the music program is to provide our students with a lifelong understanding and appreciation for quality music and music making. In addition, we get to use the medium of music to teach some wonderful life lessons as part of our comprehensive program here at Los Cerros. Most questions can be answered by consulting THE HANDBOOK OR THE REHEARSAL HANDBOOK which can be found linked below. It is my hope that the information contained in these handbooks will be both INFORMATIONAL and INSPIRATIONAL. Please read every word of The Handbooks so that you are well-informed. I’ve included one Signature Page for you to return, stating that you’re familiar with the information contained in this Handbook. 

The LCMS music program utilizes multiple online resources to supplement our classroom time. All of our music technology will be connected to Google Classroom.  We will also be using Google Classroom for all assignments and playing tests as well as some communications. 

Finally, I have attached a Google calendar of events for the school year. Please be sure to put these dates on your calendar now and look out for any potential conflicts. Dates are subject to change, so please keep an eye out for any changes in your email and our Google calendar.
