The Docent program is volunteer based that runs from September to May. Even if you are not artistic or creative, we will make sure you have all the resources and tools you need to make your art teaching experience a success. We have monthly workshops for you to attend and learn about various art projects. You will be provided with supplies, art sample, lesson plans and visual aids required to teach the projects. Each month will be a different project and you will be creating that project during the workshop so you have a better understanding of the project. It's also a fun way to meet new parents and enjoy some relaxing art time. Parents have found it rather therapeutic! If you are interested please contact your teacher. If you are already a docent volunteer, below are the workshop dates for 2019-20 school year, please do your best to attend them.

In addition to teaching art the docents also assist with the following:
Hall of Art Gallery is set up every year during the Open House. Docents from each classroom will help mount and display one art piece from each student in the hallways.
Portfolios are sent home with every student at the end of the school year filled with art work they have created throughout the year. Docents assemble them and have students decorate them.
