As students work through each project, they develop key literacy skills to support their growing abilities to 

• Research for necessary information

• Determine reliable resources

• Read to understand technical texts

• Communicate ideas through technical writing

In some cases, strategies are introduced in one project but used in subsequent projects. Teachers may also want to re-teach or use a skill  from a prior project. The document to the left gives an overview of the strategies used to support students reading, writing and speaking.
