The Student Success Center at Kentucky State University helps students smoothly transition into college by offering guidance and support through various services and programs. Focused on academic achievement and personal growth, the center provides advising, success coaching, and learning support to enhance students' exploration and engagement. Key initiatives include:
KSU Accelerate -- a summer bridge program for incoming students,
First & Second Year Experience -- a transitional program including peer mentoring initiatives,
the Thorobred Learning Center -- providing academic assistance in group and individual settings,
all aimed at boosting academic success and retention.
Kentucky State University’s Career and Professional Development Center (CPDC) is committed to helping students transition successfully from their academic pursuits to the workforce or further education. Through personalized guidance and a range of programs, the CPDC empowers students to take charge of their career development. Services include:
Career assessments,
Career and graduate and professional school fairs
Resume writing workshops,
Interview preparation, and
Networking opportunities.
By engaging with the CPDC, students gain the skills and confidence needed to explore their interests, set clear career goals, and effectively pursue their chosen paths. The CPDC supports all students in achieving professional success and preparing for life after graduation.
