Introduction
Welcome! You landed here so you must be interested in course requests for the upcoming school year. We've crafted a "create your own adventure-esque" process that will guide each of you through this year's steps to complete your requests on your Aeries portal. It starts with picking your correct graduation year below and then following simple, but important steps.
Each link is specific to your graduation year - so please ensure you have that correct.
We have created a website so that you can easily access the materials needed for course requests. Your school counselor will meet with you for your 10-minute meeting to review your requests against your past performance, graduation and post-grad plans, and credit requirements.
*A reminder - this is a request process - you are not building your final schedule. We do our best to try to get you all that you desire, but it isn't always possible. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we craft our student-centered schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on what class and if you failed both semesters or not. If you failed only one semester and got a D or better in the other - you will likely be best off completing Cyber High or summer school. If you got 2 F's - you are likely best off repeating the course next year if the course is a requirement or in summer school. Please ask your school counselor if you have a question related to this and we can give you an individual answer.
AP and honors courses are very rigorous. We recommend choosing courses very carefully so students are not overwhelmed. There are also huge time commitments if you are interested in participating in extracurriculars. Our general recommendation is to start with 2 honors courses. You will have a chance to increase your course load over the following years. We recommend talking with your current teachers to see if an Honors or AP course is the right fit for you.
I CHANGED MY MIND ABOUT A CLASS - WHAT NEXT?
Don't worry you will meet with your school counselor to discuss options. It depends on where we are at in the scheduling cycle - the earlier you figure this out, the better. Once the school year starts - you will be subject to the MCHS add/drop policy below.
WHAT IS A PREREQUISITE?
A course or skill that a student must complete before enrolling in another course. For example, in order to enroll in Physics P, students must meet one of the following criteria and be concurrently enrolled in Math 2 P or higher-level math class, and successful completion of Living Earth P or Chemistry P, or a previous science teacher’s recommendation.
WHAT IF I AM GOING TO TAKE A JC CLASS?
Please select classes or electives as placeholders until you are offically enrolled in a JC course. You must show proof of enrollment to your counselor before making changes to your course request.
