2025 MS Competition
2025 MS Competition
Every year, students work in teams to program Astrobee Satellites in order to consreve resources autonously and navigate challenges. This years game, Galactic Greenhouse addresses the real NASA/MIT problem of agriculture in space. students will code robots to manage crops in a simulated space farm on the International Space Station. The competition, which runs from June 30 to August 15, 2025, focuses on using the Astrobee Robot to navigate challenges like resource management and plant health in microgravity. This year’s tournament challenges teams to guide Astrobee in managing space crops across different plots, responding to astronaut requests, and sharing resources with a competing robot. Students had 4 crops to choose from, each with different point additions and growth times. Robots must visit an astronaut, identify the desired crop via gesture, and farm accordingly while maintaining energy and timing constraints.
