What is Reading Olympics? - Reading Olympics is a year-long celebration of reading and a competition which provides an opportunity for students in grades 4-8 to read and discuss literature from many genres. Each team is composed of 12-15 students and is responsible for reading from a list of predetermined books. In the spring, our students will compete as a team against other teams. On the night of the competition, teams will be asked comprehension based questions about the books. Sixth Grade students will have the opportunity to participate in the Reading Olympics. There is not a Reading Olympics Summer Assignment. However, if you would like to get started, the book list is posted below.
