Welcome to 5th grade!

I am so excited to welcome you all to our class family and get to know everyone better. It is going to be a great year! My goal for our classroom is to be a positive and uplifting environment for students to grow into independent learners who care for others. Below you can learn a little bit about me and see some of the resources we use on a daily basis at school. I will also use this site as a way to share photos of the fun things we work on at school throughout the year. Here's to an amazing year ahead in 5th grade at SPX!

It's our last week of school! Please consult the schedule below:

- Monday June 8th- NO SCHOOL, faculty in-service

- Tuesday June 9 through Thursday June 11- HALF DAYS with dismissal at 11:50am. Please check the school month ahead for bus information.

- Friday June 12- School Mass at 9am with dismissal immediately following at 10:30am. No buses will be available on this day. Please plan to pick up your child or have them walk home.

**Don't forget to put your summer work packets in a safe place. They were sent home on Friday. Try to work on the assignments a little bit at a time, so you are ready for a strong start to 6th grade in September! **

Meet Mrs. Crowley

Hello St. Pius X students and families! I am so excited to be your teacher this year. I attended Catholic schools from PreK through 12th grade. I went to elementary school at St. Kevin and attended high school at Cardinal O'Hara in Springfield. I received my bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Widener University and my Masters in Education from the University of Scranton. I began working in Catholic schools when I was in high school and never left! I have been a teacher's aide, classroom teacher, and a principal over the past 20+ years! When I'm not at school, I love to read, shop, exercise, go to the theater and perform in shows, go to Phillies games, and sing. I live in Broomall with my husband and two sons who also attend St. Pius X School.
