One Year Deadline Reminder
One Year Deadline Reminder
A friendly reminder that community service log sheets are to be submitted within one year of the service date. No service hours past the one-year deadline will be accepted.
Here is a reminder of what is posted on the SPHS log sheet:
INSTRUCTIONS: For students to receive credit for service hours, this form must be complete and must be signed by a supervisor/designee of the service organization. The student is to return the original form to the Student Services Office as soon as possible after the volunteer service hours are completed as this will allow for the proper crediting of hours. Service dates more than one (1) calendar year old will not be accepted.

Mentorship Program
Vecinos de South Pasadena is proud to announce its Mentorship Program. Why are we doing this? Simple: while eighty percent of Latinx students entering community college intend to transfer and earn a bachelor’s degree, only thirteen percent of them will do so within six years. We’d like to help change that.
The program is designed for Latinx and African American, SPHS graduates, who are enrolling at a local community college and who’ll become the first in their family to earn a bachelor’s degree. The program is simple, students will be paired with a local mentor. Mentors and students will attend monthly Vecinos College Success Skill Building webinars. The mentor will touch base with the student twice a month to connect and discuss the particular skill building theme for that month. The mentor and student will touch base at least twice per month, once by video conference and at least once by text, email, voice chat, or other.
The program begins in July 2021 and runs through June 2022. Apply at our Mentorship page. Questions? Email us at mentorship@vecinosdesouthpasadena.org
