This year's Homecoming Dance, themed "Midnight on the Mediterranean," will be held on Saturday, October 18 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Arroyo Seco Golf Course. Come for an evening of dancing, table games, photo booths, mini-golf, a movie, a pasta bar and dessert.
Tickets will be sold at the Student Bank during lunch from Tue 9/30 through Thu 10/16. The SPHS Social and Digital Media Use Student Agreement (https://bit.ly/sphs-socialmedia) must be signed in order to purchase tickets. Ooter forms for guests are available in the office and must be turned in by 4:00 pm on Wed 10/15; forms received after that will not be approved, and you will not be able to purchase a ticket for your guest.

The Unity Committee is an effort to create a stronger, united community. They will meet up throughout the year to design events, promote inclusivity, and connect the campus. The committee will also plan Unity week, an event that will take place in the spring. Use your voice at SPHS to bring the community together. Community Service Opportunity for Juniors and Seniors: Cal State Los Angeles Learning Center is looking for volunteers to help tutor students with learning difficulties in the areas of writing and reading help. The Learning Center is a historic tutoring center serving underprivileged students from our surrounding area. This is a unique opportunity to work on a college campus under the supervision of graduate students.Tutors will report to Cal State LA (free parking pass will be provided) on Saturdays from 9:00 to 11:30. Hello Service Academy Applicants!
Congresswoman Judy Chu is hosting a Service Academy Day on October 6, 2025, at the South Pasadena Library Community Room. This event is for high school students and their parents who are interested in attending one of the Military Service Academies, including West Point, the Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy, the Merchant Marine Academy, and the Coast Guard Academy. The Military Service Academies are among the highest-ranked educational institutions in the world and have graduated notable figures in American history, such as Presidents Jimmy Carter and Dwight Eisenhower, as well as Astronaut Alan Shepard.
