The Jack Dalton Memorial Art Scholarship honors the legacy of a beloved SPHS faculty member, who taught drawing, painting, design and Art History for 27 years. This scholarship fund is intended to continue that inspiration. The fund would be used to sponsor an exceptional 9th - 11th grade SPHS student to attend classes at Art Center College of Design's ACX Teens program in Pasadena. Funds are solicited through individual contributions to the South Pasadena High School Alumni Association, with a special notation for the Jack Dalton Memorial Art Scholarship. The Scholarship Committee, along with SPHS Faculty and Counselors, evaluates the applicants based upon financial need, scholastic record, art activities, a portfolio review, and art experience.  Extended Deadline to apply for a fall ACX Teens scholarship:  May 30, 2024.
