Winter Formal "Under the Northern Lights" will be held at the University Club of Pasadena on January 31st from 8-11pm. Ticket sales will be from 1/12 to 1/30 in the student bank at lunch. OOTER forms will be available in the front office. We hope to see you all at the winter formal to experience elegance, dancing, tasteful appetizers, and more on a night to remember under the northern lights!

Mrs. Montoya is looking for student volunteers to help chaperone the Monterey Hills Elementary Valentine's dance at MFS on Friday February 6th from 4-6pm for community service hours. Email her at mmontoya@spusd.net to RSVP.

Tigers! We're looking for student musicians who perform in the classical genre for a $1000 music scholarship opportunity.
Tigers! We're looking for student musicians who perform in the classical genre for a $1000 music scholarship opportunity.
Applicants must submit a link to an unedited video recording (no limit on length) of their musical performance in the classical music genre, along with an essay. The recording must begin with a short spoken intro from the applicant, stating their name, grade, selected piece's title and composer, and the date of recording which must be in 2026. The topic of the essay, no more than 500 words in length, is anything pertaining to their musical journey, such as their favorite composers, difficult experiences, or future pursuits. Scholarship is open to everyone attending SPHS including past recipients and applicants. Three students will be awarded.

Immigrant Support and Belonging Form
Many students in LA are facing uncertainty and fear because of their immigration status. In an area where diversity is our greatest strength, the L.A. County Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council wants to make sure immigrant students and their families feel support and belonging. Please take a moment to complete the Immigrant Support and Belonging survey . The results will help build a solution to make immigrant students feel more welcome and safe in LA schools.
