Attention current juniors, sophomores, and freshmen! If you missed the Appointed Positions Interest Meeting and are still interested in applying, please contact Commissioner of Internal Affairs, Ellie Nakamura, at elyssanakamura11@stu.spusd.net to receive the necessary information. Open positions for the 2024-25 school year include Health and Wellness Officer, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Representatives, Environmental Sustainability Representative, Videographer, and Historian. Campus Beautification with Mr. Ray

ATTENTION SENIORS - You are cordially invited to join Mr. Ray for an opportunity to earn 4 community service hours while improving the SPHS campus. Meet Mr. Ray in the middle of campus on 5/18 starting at 7:30 AM. Duties will include: gardening and assisting in maintaining a beautiful campus. 

GUIDELINES 

- Entries should express the experience of living with mental illness, supporting a family member or friend with mental illness or a related topic.

- Poetry entries should be 400 words or fewer.

- Short Film entries should be 5 minutes max. Entries may be typed or legibly handwritten. 

- One submission per person.

- The submission deadline is end of school day on May 22, 2024. All entries must be received in person or by email. 


SUBMISSIONS 

- To be considered, each entry should include the following: Name, grade, phone number and school e-mail address. We will only contact you if your entry is chosen to request permission to post online. 

- All entries will be reviewed with respect to privacy and winning entrants may ask that their work be posted anonymously. Please submit your entry by email, with your contact information, to nstebbins@spusd.net or drop it off in person to Ms. Stebbins in the SPHS Wellness Center. 

- Please be sure to include your contact information with your submission! 


AWARDS 

- Cash prizes will be awarded to the three entries selected as winners on May 29th. All entrants can join the lunch. 

- With the author’s permission, submissions may be posted on SPUSD websites and/or its affiliated sites or accounts.


It's the end of the school year!!! At least close to it. Please check your school email accounts for a list of all the books that you have checked out as well as any obligations you may have. Remember, all materials must be returned to the library/textbook room no later than noon (10AM for Seniors) on  Wednesday, June 5th. If you have books that you no longer need, feel free to return them to the library at your earliest convenience. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Luna or Ms. Hernandez.

Hello Seniors! Graduation seems like an eternity away at this time of year, but it’s never too early to preorder! In a link attached, you’ll find a catalog with all of our offerings, including leis, necklaces, bouquets, and teddy bears! By preordering, we can guarantee that you will be able to get your hands on what you want. The process is simple and 100% online, just click the link or scan the QR code! 






If you have accidentally taken an extra Chromebook home, please return it to the tech office in the library as soon as possible. Thank you! 

A reminder to all students but especially the new class of 2027: clear your area and tables of trash daily after brunch and lunch. It is your responsibility to maintain cleanliness just as much as the custodial staff. If you do not clear trash from your areas please be aware of the following steps:


1st verbal warning from admin or custodial staff

2nd loss of use of table or area for 3 days

3rd loss of use of table or area for 1 week 

4th  loss of use of table or area for the rest of the semester


Thank you for your help in keeping your campus clean.


All students with Home Study Period 5 or 6 need to remain on campus during lunch.
