Voters will decide on a TAX NEUTRAL proposal to provide essential funding to strengthen school security, improve accessibility, increase efficiency, and enhance learning spaces.
Deadline: Tuesday, October 14, 2025: You must be registered with your current name and a Somers Point address to vote in the school referendum.

Polls open at 10 a.m. daily, Saturday, Oct. 25 to Sunday, Nov. 2
Polls close at 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday, polls close at 6 p.m. on Sunday

If you have already requested a ballot to be mailed to you, and if your address is the same, Atlantic County may send you a Vote By Mail ballot automatically before the election. Look online for information about voting by mail.

To request a Vote By Mail ballot, download the application on this website. The county must receive that application by Oct. 28 to mail you a ballot, or by 3 p.m. on Nov. 3 to give you a ballot in person.
When you receive your Vote By Mail ballot, fill it out and either:
Mail it in with a postmark by Nov. 4
Put it in a Drop Box at one of the designated locations (Somers Point’s Drop Box is located at Municipal Hall, 1 West New Jersey Avenue)
Polls will be open on Tuesday, Nov. 4 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.! The school referendum will appear on the General Election ballot.

If you arrive at the polls and are told that your ballot was already mailed to you, ask for a provisional ballot. This means your ballot will be considered after all in-person and mailed ballots are verified and processed.
