Teaching Stance
As an educator I provide my students with a safe classroom community and an engaging learning experience. A student-centered curriculum promotes creativity, choice, and exploration. I develop trust and provide necessary challenges and supports in order to foster life long learners.
Education & Experience
I grew up in Cape Elizabeth, and after high school I attended Saint Michael’s College in Burlington, Vermont where I earned my BA in Psychology. While in college, I played lacrosse for four years and studied abroad in Australia. After college, I coached lacrosse at several different levels and worked for Big Brothers Big Sisters as the Site Based Program Coordinator. In 2016 I earned my Masters in Education, Teaching and Learning at the University of Southern Maine. I spent six years teaching 5th grade at Dyer and am excited to be starting my fourth year in 3rd grade!
Personal
During my free time I enjoy reading, sports, being outdoors (especially the beach & skiing) and spending time with my family and friends.
