Humanities: The 8th grade Humanities curriculum will be a mixture of Language Arts and Social Studies. These two strands run side by side, sometimes as separate units that compliment each other and at other times overlapping as one. What is done in Language Arts is practiced in Social Studies and what is done in Social Studies is referenced and often used in Language Arts. In both learning strands, skills are taught through content lessons, inquiry learning, discussion, and collaboration.
