Class Supplies FAQs

Required Basic Supplies*

• 3-ring binder for English class only (1 or 1.5 inch [Click here for how to set up binder]) 

  • 1. • 5 binder dividers with pockets are good for loose papers (can be made of reused manila file folders)

Mr. Sposato prefers binders instead of spiral-bound notebooks because they are more versatile and customizable for student and class needs.

• No. 2 pencils and/or mechanical pencils

• Erasers

• Pens (blue and/or black)

• Loose-leaf notebook paper (Most teachers ask that high school students use the college-ruled variety)

Optional: Organization Helpers

• 3-hole punch that fits into a 3-ring binder

• Pencil case that fits in a binder

• Pocket folders that fit in binders

• Calendar or planner for scheduling or recording assignments

• Ruler

Optional: Study Aids

• Index cards, ruled and/or unruled

• Highlighters

• Colored Pencils

* Students and parents should feel emboldened to exercise the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle spirit for any of the required supplies.  Additionally, if any students need assistance with supplies at the beginning or at any point in the school year, Mr. Sposato collects gently used supplies that can be reused by anyone who finds themselves without them.
