Appreciation

Being thankful means to appreciate all the things you have and being happy for what you have. I am thankful for many things. One thing I am thankful for is my friends and my family. I am thankful for the food that gets served on my table. I am thankful for my good education.

To begin, I am thankful for my friends and my family. I am especially thankful for my mom and dad because they feed me, care for me, and make me laugh. They let me be who I really am. My mom takes me to all my sports or activities. She surprises me and makes me smile no matter where or what time it is. My dad helps me practice my trumpet. I have no words to describe him: he is the best dad I could ever wish for. My brother puts a smile on my face even when we are fighting. He is my best friend and I couldn't ask for a better brother.

My family and friends are what make life memorable. My friends are always there for me and my family helps me and makes every morning worth waking up for. Without my family and friends, my life would be very boring because there would be nobody to talk to. If nobody knew each other, who would you spend time with or make memories with? They help you become "you" and they help you to get to know who you are and they help us to choose the correct choice and to avoid the wrong decision.

In addition, I am thankful for the food I eat every day. Some people don't get three meals a day, but I am thankful that I am someone who does. When food wasn't as easily bought as it is today, people had to go out and hunt for their families to eat a nice dinner. If it was cold, it wasn't as easy to get the food to eat. Today, we can go and get any type of food from the store.

Again, being thankful means appreciating the things you have and I am thankful for many things; for example, I am thankful for food, friends, family, and for the good education I have. I am thankful for everything I own: my house, my pets, my bed, all my electronics, and my nice teachers.
