MY MISSION STATEMENT
I am at my best when I am engaging my students in learning through the many styles that allow them to succeed. I also remember that all of my students are children of God, and it is my responsibility to teach the whole child. I will enjoy my work by planning activities that will engage my students through hands-on lessons and experiments, as well as other means that best address their learning styles. My life’s journey is to teach children and pass on my faith. I will be a person who loves and cares for others. I will strive to make a difference in other people’s lives.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Hello! I am so excited to be a teacher at Saint Patrick School. I love it here! I have lived in Carlisle all of my life, and St. Patrick Church has always been "my home". I currently live in the area with my Mom, sister, and kitties (yep, I'm a cat-mom). The 2025-2026 school year will be my 23rd year teaching at Saint Patrick School. I had taught Kindergarten for 12 of those years, and I spent 9 years teaching 5th graders. Last year, I stepped in to teach third grade. I am so excited to start yet another new adventure this school year as I begin teaching second grade. I am very excited to teach about the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist! In 1999, I received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Education from Slippery Rock University. I earned two certifications, one in Elementary Education (K-6) and one in Early Childhood Education (Birth-Grade 3). I have since earned my PA Level II Certification, and I am still certified to teach Birth-Grade 6. I am always looking for opportunities to advance my knowledge in teaching, and I am up-to-date with my Act 48 hours (continuing education). I am also up-to-date with Religious Certification through the Diocese of Harrisburg.
I am so excited and lucky to continue to teach at St. Patrick School this year. I am also really excited to teach some students again that I had in my class in Kindergarten!
Thank you for sending your children to Saint Patrick School! I feel truly blessed to be their teacher!
