Meet Mrs. Rye

HI! I am Mrs. Melissa Rye.  I am married and have 2 children; son in 9th grade (Trinity High School) and daughter in 6th grade (SPS).  And our rescue dog, Winchester, a chocolate lab. 

This is my 6th year at SPS. I substitute taught for a couple of years. In 2021-22, I taught Kindergarten. Then in 2022-2023, I taught Pre-School. Last year I happily returned to Kindergarten. Many of my kindergarteners this year will have been in my Preschool 3 year old class a couple years ago. I can't wait to continue to see them grow. I was born and raised in Maryland. We made Carlisle our home in 2019 after 3 wonderful years in Winchester, England. In my "free" time I am carting my kids around to their sports activities. Ice Hockey has a special place in our hearts. 

I am very excited to start the school year with your Kindergarteners and get to know them. We are going to grow, learn, and have fun together. We are going to work as a team and learn how to be good friends, leaders, and students.
