We are delighted to have again been awarded the NYCF Carer Friendly Tick Award - Education.
The benefits of having the Carer Friendly Tick Award has given us the confidence to help Young Carers and where to find information about outside providers and professional help.
It has given students who are not carers more of an understanding and awareness of what the life of a Young Carer involves and how challenging it can be.
By receiving updates about events and courses it gives us the opportunity to help educate and encourage Young Carers to be more independent and feel supported.
At Sprowston Community Academy we offer our Young Carers:
Young Carers Ambassadors groups (monthly)
Check ins if needed
referrals to services
