The Sprout attendance policy applies to all workers, regardless of rank or status.
Sprout's Dress Code Policy outlines how we expect our employees to dress at work. Employees should note that their appearance matters when representing our company in front of candidates, visitors or other parties. An employee’s appearance can create a positive or negative impression that reflects on our company and culture.
Personal appearance, proper hygiene, and appropriate attire are expected of all employees at all times, the following standards always apply:
All employees must be clean and well-groomed. Grooming styles dictated by religion and ethnicity aren’t restricted.
All clothes must be work-appropriate. Close toed shoes are required.
All clothes must project professionalism. Clothes that are too revealing or inappropriate aren’t allowed.
All clothes must be clean and in good shape. Discernible rips, tears or holes aren’t allowed.
Employees must avoid clothes with stamps that are offensive or inappropriate.
In compliance with this policy, the following are examples of unacceptable attire:
Torn or Patched Clothing
Halter Tops
Excessively Worn Clothing
Tube Tops
Strapless Dresses / Strapless Sundresses
Shorts /Skirts Shorter than 4” above knee cap
Any Outfits Shorter than Mid-Thigh
Sheer Attire
Sandals and Thong-type Sandals
Form Fitting Outfits
Loose Fitting Outfits that are Safety Hazards
Clothing must be clean, pressed, in good condition, and should fit appropriately.
Sprout does not object to reasonably long hair, beards, or mustaches if they are neatly groomed and not a hindrance to the employee's performance or safety on the job.
Maintain neat and well-groomed facial hair like mustaches, sideburns, and beards. (no artificial colors e.g. pink, green, etc. that is deemed unprofessional).
Tattoos that are perceived as offensive, hostile or that diminishes the employee's professionalism must be covered so that they are not visible to staff or customers.
Employees are not to wear jewelry that may cause hindrance to safety and performance of the job. Any clothing attire that may be considered inappropriate or harassing in nature is not to be worn.
Employees must clean after themselves after using the restroom.
Employees must maintain their workstation clean and uncluttered.
Employees must maintain the cleanliness in the kitchen.
Due to the variety of work assignments and working conditions, it is not practical to establish specific and absolute criteria for appropriate dress. Therefore, it will be up to each reporting area’s Supervisor to provide guidance on what is appropriate. Failure to follow the Dress and Grooming Policy may result in Disciplinary Action. Sprout will make reasonable accommodations to this policy based on sincerely held religious beliefs and practices of our employees.”
