Students who are evaluated and determined to have deficits in any of the above-mentioned areas, which have a negative impact on educational performance, will be considered for an appropriate level of service.
Special Education Services: Students who display a severe delay in any one area, or moderate delays in two or more areas stated above, will be considered for services through the Committee on Special Education (CSE). Services are offered through either an Individualized Education program (IEP) or a 504 accommodation plan with direct or indirect services, depending on the need of the student. Decisions regarding frequency and delivery of service are made on an individual basis, according to the student’s needs.
Educationally Related Support Services (ERSS):
Students who display a mild delay in no more than two of the above mentioned areas, will be considered for services through ERSS. Services are offered as direct, small group, no more than two times a week. Decisions regarding frequency and delivery of service are made on an individual basis, according to the student’s needs.
