SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) – this test (or the ACT) is an application requirement for most four-year colleges and some two-year colleges. Most college bound high school students take this test in the spring of the junior year. The SAT I is offered at high schools across the country seven times a year on Saturday mornings in: March, May, June, August, October, November and December.
Springville High School hosts the May administration, however, students may elect to take the test on any of these dates if they are willing to travel to a host school for a particular administration. In order to register for the test students must complete a registration application and pay a testing fee.
Registration should be done well in advance, deadlines are approximately six weeks before a given test date. Applications and test date information can be found in the High School Student Support Services Office or online at www.collegeboard.org. The cost is $68.00. Fee waivers are available for those with financial need. Talk to your student’s guidance counselor for further details.
