Community Engagement & Academic Events: One of the greatest benefits of homeschooling through Springs is the opportunity to be part of a vibrant and supportive homeschool community. Throughout the school year, Springs offers a wide variety of regional events designed to enrich learning, foster friendships, and create meaningful connections among families.
From our Student-Parent Regional Educational Events (SPREEs) that kick off the school year to our Reading, Writing, and Math Extravaganzas, Park Days, regional spelling bees, speech meets, talent shows, and academic competitions, there are countless opportunities for students to explore their interests, develop new skills, and showcase their talents. These events provide hands-on educational experiences while helping students build confidence, create lasting memories, and connect with fellow homeschool students and families throughout the region. Whether your child enjoys academics, the arts, public speaking, outdoor activities, or simply making new friends, there is something for everyone at Springs.
Field Trips: Homeschool families looking for a way to step away from the screen, get out of the house, and start exploring the real world can look forward to an incredible year of discovery. The homeschool program is thrilled to offer about 135 educational field trips all over Southern California. Top destinations include major attractions like Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Studios, the Living Desert Zoo & Gardens, Safari Park, San Diego Zoo, and SeaWorld. Beyond these large-scale locations, the program also visits world-class museums, spectacular musicals, iconic stadiums, and smaller, more intimate venues that are perfect for focused, hands-on learning.
