Grading for Grades: PK
With the traditional grading system, many elements are combined to determine your child's grade – projects, informal assessments, observations, completed homework, classroom participation, coming to school on time, Circle Assessment.
PRE-K GRADING SYSTEM
Discovery-First Steps: A stage in which children develop an awareness of their surroundings and exhibit a need for more instruction and interaction with objects, prople, events, and concepts. At this stage, the child needs multiple experiences
Exploring-Showing Progress: A stage in which children develop an understanding of the components and attributes of their surroundings and exhibit a need for more practice with objects, people, events, and concepts. At this stage, the child understand the concept but needs numerous opportunities to practice.
Connecting-Ready to Apply-A stage in which children bring their own personal meaning to make use of their surroundings and link purposeful interaction with objects, people, events and concepts. At this stage, the child has had instruction and multiple experiences to practice a concept and can transfer his/her learning from one are of learning to a new area of learning.

Pre-K Students will receive a Homework folder every Monday with a Weekly packet that needs to be return on Fridays to revise and check students progress. Assignments should be completed by students with parent support.
Transportation changes will only be handled by the main office via email or by parents coming to the campus in person with identification to make the change before 2:45 p.m. We can NOT make transportation changes after 2:45p.m. You will need to email the office staff at majortransportationchange@springisd.org. Please make sure to call 281-891-8870 and confirm that our front desk staff has received your email.. In the event that a note is sent, the student must be sure to stop at the front desk to give the reception staff the note..
o Morning: All car riders dropped off in front and bus riders/day care in the back.
o Afternoon: Car riders picked up in the back (must have a car sign); bus riders load in front
o No drop-offs allowed in the parking lot or on the street
o No parent walk-ups during dismissal; all families must remain in vehicles
