Conduct...

A daily folder will be sent home. It will have a responsibility card (conduct card) in it. Please initial it every day so we know you have seen it. Homework will also be in this folder. If you need to let us know something or have a question, please put a note in the folder. On Thursdays, the folder will contain their work from the past week and important papers from the office. Please look at the papers in the folder and sign the folder. You may keep the papers in the folder unless noted otherwise.

  • Green – Every child begins the day on green. If they remain on green, they will receive an E in their daily folder.
  • Yellow – This means the child has been reminded of a school or class rule a second time. This will be marked as an S in the daily folder.
  • Red – Student was reminded of a rule again. This will be marked in the daily folder as an N and the student will have a time out either in the classroom or at recess to think about their behavior and get themselves under control.
  • Blue – Student will be moved to blue immediately in extreme cases or after multiple infractions of class or school rules. This will be marked in the daily folder as a U and the parents will be notified by a phone call or a note home. A discipline notice form will be sent home. This note should be signed and returned to the child’s teacher the following day.
  • Glitter – Students can move up from green to glitter for exceptional behavior. This will help encourage best behaviors but not something every student will be on every day. It is a special privilege reserved for a few students a day that exhibit beyond exceptional behavior. This will be marked in the folder with a star or a sticker.
