FAQ for Virtual Learning

Can my student miss a portion of the virtual learning day and still be counted present?

Yes! Just send me an email ahead of time and let me know when your student will be leaving and if they are coming back, at what time.

What email should my student use to log into the virtual class meetings everyday?

Campus policy states that students can only join virtual class meetings using their Spring ISD email. If they are not using their Spring ISD email they will not be admitted to class. This policy is to insure the safety of all of our students.

What time does my student need to be logged in and present in the google meeting at?

Students need to be in the class meeting at 8:35, ready to learn with all of their supplies easily accessible. Unless given a break or at lunch they need to remain at their computers with their camera turned on and their microphone muted.

How long should my student read each night?

Students need to read at least 20 minutes per night. Students grow as readers by reading orally to a parent, grandparent or older sibling. Try to make time to listen to your scholar read daily.
