Allie Bryan is very excited to begin her 13th year of teaching as a member of the Dekaney High School Choir team. She comes to Dekaney High School from Amarillo, TX, which is in the panhandle of Texas. Ms. Bryan has been a part of choirs that have performed in Italy, Austria, and Germany.
Prior to moving to the greater Houston area, Ms. Bryan taught choir at the collegiate, high school, and middle school levels in the Amarillo area. Choirs under her direction have consistently received sweepstakes and division 1 ratings at UIL Choir Contest.
Ms. Bryan received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Southwestern University in 2013, and she received her Master of Music in Choral Conducting from West Texas A&M University in 2021. During her tenure at West Texas A&M, she worked as a graduate teaching assistant, which included directing the collegiate and chamber choirs and teaching her own private voice studio at the university.
Killian Watt is thrilled to begin his first year of teaching as the assistant choir director at Dekaney High School. While originally from Ohio, Killian spent most of his life growing up in Houston, Texas, where his love for music first began and grew.
Mr. Watt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance from The University of Texas at Arlington. After receiving his first degree in 2023, Mr. Watt pursued and obtained a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Oklahoma State University in May of 2025. His time in Oklahoma as a graduate teaching student gave him many opportunities to conduct and collaborate with choirs consisting of a wide variety of experience and skill levels.
In addition to directing and conducting, Mr. Watt finds time composing choral music and performing with a variety of ensembles from chamber choirs to opera companies. He hopes to continue these passions, and see how he can use them to better the music experience for his students, such as composing songs specially designed and catered to the Wildcat Choirs.
