2025-2026 FAFSA: The applications will open by fall, 2024 and each eligible student and parent must create an FSA ID for FAFSA eligible students.
It is highly encouraged that students and parents create their FSA ID immediately to be prepared to complete the application on December 31st at: https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch
You will need your social security number and your cell phone or personal email address (PLEASE KEEP YOUR FSA ID IN A SECURE LOCATION FOR FUTURE USE). You should receive your FSA ID within 2-3 days.
Once the FAFSA form opens, students and parents will be able to log in using their FSA IDs and begin completing the application for financial aid using their 2023 tax information.
Students ineligible to complete FAFSA will complete the TASFA application (English and Spanish; paper or online application): https://www.highered.texas.gov/our-work/empowering-our-students/tasfa/
2025-2026 TASFA: The applications will open by Fall, 2025 and each student (ineligible for FAFSA) seeking state financial aid, along with their parent/guardian, must complete the TASFA form online or paper version using the 2023 tax information.

Please know that I will be happy to assist students with creating their FSA ID during lunch or with a pass from their teachers. Once FAFSA and TASFA applications open, the College & Career Center will offer some evening opportunities for students/families to get hands-on assistance completing both next semester.
Resources with specific information regarding the FAFSA/TASFA will be shared, however, you may create your FSA ID immediately to be prepared when the application opens..
