The Texas Library Association creates a variety of suggested reading lists for all ages. These are merely suggestions, not requirements. Librarians will purchase titles they feel are suitable for their campuses and may not have every title on these lists.

The Texas Bluebonnet Reading List is for grades 3-6. We do not buy all the titles since many are for lower grades. Students may vote at the public library if they choose.

The Maverick Reading List is for graphic novels (new one released on December 1 each year)

The Texas Topaz Reading List is nonfiction for all ages.
