Surfing: Caroline Brown

U16 Girls Champion, Caroline, represented South Africa at the ISA World Junior Championships.

The South African team finished ninth among the 44 nations who competed just missing out on matching their eighth place finish in 2018, which would have guaranteed them a spot in the ISA Aloha Cup tag team event in the 2020 event.

The VISSLA ISA World Junior Surfing Championships took place at Huntington Beach in California.

"Across all countries and cultures surfers are connected not by nationality, religion, politics, age … but by their experience riding waves. This is a powerful experience both in the waves themselves and inside each surfer. - Shaun Tomson"

Rowing: Jossie Kane-Smith and Tahlia Rossouw

Jossie Kane-Smith and Tahlia Rossouw have been selected to row in the Boat Race Regatta in Port Alfred in December. Only 4 rowers were selected from the whole club of over 40 girls, so we are incredibly proud of them both.
