Team Triumph Social Studies:

Welcome to the Team Triumph Social Studies web page. Each team teacher, Mrs. Hanna, Mr. Krukemyer, and Miss. Winslow all teach one section of 8th grade social studies (American History). We strive to teach the same content in much the same way each day so that each student on our team is getting the same quality of education regardless of what teacher they may have for that trimester.

What content will my child learn during 8th grade social studies?

8th Grade Social Studies will focus on topics from early colonization to reconstruction after the American Civil War.

THEME: U.S. STUDIES FROM 1492 TO 1877: EXPLORATION THROUGH RECONSTRUCTION The historical focus continues in the eighth grade with the study of European exploration and the early years of the United States. This study incorporates all four social studies strands into a chronological view of the development of the United States. Students examine how historic events are shaped by geographic, social, cultural, economic and political factors.
