A home

away from home...

We are so very lucky to have a large range of host families who are passionate about their role. Our International Students really do have a home away from home, and they often make lifetime connections with our host Mums, Dads, and brothers and sisters, and extended family and friends.

Tom With His Host Family

"Tom, from Germany, lived with us for six months and became a treasured part of our family - it was hard to say goodbye to him and give him back to his German family, but we will continue to stay in touch and we look forward to hosting him again in future visits to New Zealand. Both of our homestay students loved experiencing the Kiwi way of life; especially visiting local beaches, spending time with friends, playing sports for school and social teams and having lots of BBQs during summer."

Taymes with Host Sister

"We have loved having international students join our whanau. Taymes, from Brazil, stayed with us for three months and formed a very strong bond with her Kiwi younger sisters. We're still in touch and regularly catch up via video chat to celebrate birthdays and Christmas together."
