How do I nominate an athlete or team?

Nominations for the Class of 2026 have closed.

How can I nominate a person or a team?

Anyone - even a relative - can make a nomination. Nomination forms are available below, at the Maryville High School office or by emailing halloffame@spoofhounds.org. Nominations MUST be submitted in writing and include supporting data for inclusion. Samples of data include media archives, information from the Missouri State High School Activities Association, yearbooks and school records.  Please do not include original materials in your submission as they will be kept on file by the Hall of Fame. The Nominating Committee will review submissions and select each inductee. Classes will be inducted each fall with an annual May 20 deadline for nominations.

What are some samples of supporting documentation?

In order for the Hall of Fame to consider the most deserving members, nominations must include supporting data for inclusion. Samples of data include media archives, information from the Missouri State High School Activities Association, yearbooks and school records. Supporting data MUST be included with your nomination. Materials will not be returned to the nominee, so please only submit copies. If you use awards and recognitions as part of a nomination, you must provide proof of such honors (using the data samples above or any other supporting documentation such as photos of awards or certificates).

What is the deadline for nominations?

Nominations will be accepted throughout the year. However, to be considered for the next fall’s class, nominations must be submitted by May 20 every year for the following fall.

My nominee wasn't chosen. Can I nominate the person or team again in the future?

If your qualifying nominee is not selected for the upcoming class, your nomination will be kept on file for future consideration. There is no need to submit another nomination.
