There are two kinds of grades - Participation and Project.
Any time a graded assignment will take longer than one class period, a Project grade will be used.Â
If an assignment takes just one week to complete, or when there is no graded assignment, a Participation grade will be used instead.
Participation rubric:
4 - Great work / participated significantly
3 - Good work / participated adequately
2 - Below average work / did not participate
1 - Below average work / disruptive / absent
Projects are weighed as how many days / weeks the class spent on the project +1. For example, if the Project took three weeks, it would have a weight of 4 in FACTS. Some Projects will be larger or consist of multiple distinct parts; in these cases one Project may be broken into multiple grades.
While homework will still not be regularly assigned, work may be expected to be completed outside of class more regularly than it was in years past.
