These teachers include: Mrs. Shannon Watson, Mr. Collin Listen, Mrs. Kori Long and Mr. Dusty Hart. Our teachers offer a wide variety of courses that indulge in the industry of agriculture. These courses include: Principles of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources; Vet Med ; Floral Design, Advanced Floral, Greenhouse Management; Small Animal Management; Livestock Production; Advanced Animal Science; Agricultural Mechanics, Principles of Welding; and Welding 1 and 2. Mr. Tyler Spilinek at the Junior High campus is the kick-starter to our programs! Our teachers are dedicated to educate their students and the community on the field of agriculture and enjoy watching their students succeed in the classroom, in a competition room, or in the show ring.

Welcome everyone, I’d like to take this time to tell you a little about myself. I am a Splendora Alumni, making me a life-long Wildcat! This will be my 18th year teaching Agriculture, 16 years here at Splendora High School and I couldn’t be more excited to see what this year will bring. I reside in Shepherd with my husband and children, Caiden and Clay. I received my Bachelors Degree in Ag Business and my Masters Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Sam Houston State University. In 2012, I completed my Principal Certification Coursework.
After completion of my degree, I worked at Livingston Jr. High where I gained experience teaching Principles of Agriculture and Professional Communication. In 2009, I joined the SHS staff. I will be overseeing the Veterinarian Science pathway. The Splendora High School clinic provides invaluable experience for our students as well as services to the community. My students gain OSHA and Level I CVA certifications through this program.

I grew up on a 50 head sow operation in El Reno, Oklahoma. My father was the high school ag teacher there for 28 years while my mother was the computer teacher at the high school as well. I have been involved in agriculture and livestock my entire life. From the age of 3 to the end of my high school show career I had many champions and reserves on a state and national level, including grand at Oklahoma Youth Expo in 2009. From there I was granted a livestock judging scholarship at Redlands and judged for the national champion junior college livestock judging team. After that I attended Oklahoma State University where I received a Bachelors in Animal Science with a Business option. My wife, Corley and I are very passionate about the FFA and more importantly teaching and working with youth to inspire and set goals for their future endeavors. I am very excited for the opportunity to work with Splendora ISD students in classes such as Livestock Production, Principles of Ag, Ag mech, wildlife, and help mentor them with show pigs and steers.

Hello everyone! I'm Tyler Spilinek and I will be the Jr. High Ag Teacher/FFA Advisor here at Splendora ISD. I hail from the Cornhusker State of Nebraska. I completed my degree at the University of Nebraska in Agricultural Education. Following my college career I worked one year with Nebraska Extension with the 4-H program, then worked the last two years as an Ag Teacher and FFA Adivsor at Ord High School in Ord, NE. II grew up on a small family farm in Central Nebraska where we raised cattle, hogs, and had a diversified crop operation. I have enjoyed the "Texas way of life" over the two months I have been here! I am married to my wife Michelle and we reside in New Caney with our cat Mr. Buzzles. Throughout my time outside of school I really enjoy traveling with my Michelle, spending time with family, and watching Husker Football in the fall.
