This year we hoped to get our community members involved in our school and through our annual BBQ, help students feel welcomed back to school. Something else we targeted was coming up with a new design of artwork for the walls of the school.
We enjoyed having the Sky Boyz Drumming and Dancing group come perform at Allan School.Â
Some things we'd really like to celebrate:
how we incorporated Indigenous Perspectives and Worldview into our school.
developing new artwork into our school
Another busy, successful year at Blaine Lake! We set targets to create fun and engaging activities for our students, staff and families. We focused on student literacy while simultaneously working to show our school staff how much we appreciate their work.
This year, we hosted a few events including a family engagement night with a hot dog and chip supper and various activities for families to enjoy. We hosted a family movie night with snacks and drinks. We showed appreciated to our staff members with a treat/gift card during the school day. There were lots of smiles as we served a huge turkey supper for the students and staff in our school. The food hampers we created for families in need in our communities continues to be a huge success. Fun was had as we hosted a pajama day with a pancake breakfast for our students and staff. We continued to support our literacy goal by having a student reading challenge with prizes and fun at our book fair.
Overall, our biggest celebration is the successful events we hosted to support and engage our families.
Our back to school BBQ was a huge success, the weather was perfect. A lot of people attended and enjoyed visiting and playing games.Â
We were excited to participate in the Langham Career Fair this year.
Along with those activities, we also supported the annual Christmas banquet for staff and students as well as providing snacks for the School Awards Night.Â
At Clavet we continue to work at improving community engagement. Working to have our parents and community members participate in activities and events in our school.
As a celebration, we would point to our Teacher Appreciation Day and our Fall Supper. For Teacher Appreciation Day the support from the community and SCC members was amazing! The donations of time, snacks, goodies, drinks and special notes was wonderful. This event really helps boost the morale of staff during a difficult time and brought staff together in a positive way. The Fall Supper is always a huge undertaking, but also a huge success! Credit goes to the SCC members, parents, students, and community members.

Our goals this year were around supporting student mental health and well-being along with Reconciliation. To support this, we brought Brad Siroski in to speak with our students and parents. We hope to take our learning further next year by utilizing the White Hatter with our families to help educate them on the dangers of social media.
Our SCC also supported our students and community through the purchase of turkeys and hams for the Christmas lunch.

At Hague High, the SCC had a goal to increase the profile of the SCC. We did this through a variety of ways:
open house at the start of the year
SCC volunteers at student-led conferences
working at Hague High football games
working with the staff to put on a Christmas dinner for students and bus drivers
supporting the town drama and talent night
We celebrate the well functioning, engaged Hague High SCC team. Our SCC survey indicated the our members feel welcome in the school and each one of them is always ready to help with any of our school activities.

The Lake Vista SCC continues to work towards increasing awareness and communication of the SCC to our Lake Vista families.Â
We celebrate the Mug 'n Muffin mornings that we support at the school. We schedule this event during the year and families are invited to join the students from 8:00 am to 9:00 am for a treat and a coffee (or hot chocolate) while sharing a good book. This year we are putting a new twist on this to support our school math goal: Math and Muffin!
As we continue to support the goal work of the school (literacy skills), we continue to work to bring the community (school and beyond) together in a way to connect with the town. Some of our on-going work continues to focus on supporting the development of our school playground.
We would like to celebrate the great community/family attendance at our events and conferences. We tried some new ideas and activities this year, like Character Night, and would point to those as celebrations as well.

We had a very enthusiastic group of parents on our SCC and generous support from our community. We could not have achieved our goals without the hard work from our SCC and community members.
Our main goal was to take actions that contribute to building an inclusive, healthy and happy school environment that meets the learning needs of all students.
During the year we were able to purchase an AED for the school, pinnies and first aid kids for our athletic programs, support an off-site holiday concert, supply planners for every classroom, purchase 4 classroom iPads, present at the Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Council, provide a pop-up canopy with the school logo for outdoor events, and support the student/teacher pancake breakfast.
The SCC at Stobart Community School set goals to support our students Mental Health and Well-being. We worked hard to make sure our SCC members were aware of the school goals. We were very active as we provided activities to the community such as our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.
We would like to celebrate the wonderful engagement in our meetings, the support from the town, and the encouragement and strong support from parents.
Some things we'd really like to celebrate are:
Welcome back school BBQ was another great success! Families had an opportunity to meet staff and faculty, drop off school supplies and connect after the summer break. Families were grateful for the opportunity for their children to meet teachers and drop supplies off as it allowed for a much smoother transition on the first day of school.
We held our first school dance in February - it was a huge success with fantastic participation! The school community came together for a great night of fun and we look forward to more community events at Traditions in the future.
We held a winter clothing drive during our Christmas celebrations which was very successful. A car full of donations was provided to a local charity for families in need for the winter season.
This year we continued our fundraising work for an inclusive and accessible playground. We have sold Fundscrip gift cards, cases of chocolates and popcorn.Â
Together with our neighboring schools we promoted and supported a reading challenge to increase at-home reading.
We were excited to host our morning muffin & coffee event at the start of the year as we sought to increase parent interaction and invite people to meet our new vice-principal!
Our welcome back BBQ was a huge success in welcoming back everyone from their summer break. We served close to 600 hot dogs!
