UPS School to Work Program & Metro College
The UPS School to Work program is only available to high school seniors (students apply as a junior).
Eligible students will need:
2.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average or higher
Acceptable high school attendance
A recommendation by their high school to participate
to be 17 years of age
Benefits include:
Earning a weekly paycheck – $21.00 per hour
Taking an additional academic class on site at UPS in the afternoon and earning college credit, and/or an extended academic class
Receiving preferred placement in the UPS Metro College Program to earn a tuition-free degree after high school graduation - OR -
Receiving preferred placement in the UPS Earn and Learn Program to earn up to $5,250 per year in educational assistance

The UPS Metro College program is available to current UPS employees and it pays 100% of the tuition at Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC) or the University of Louisville. Eligible students receive tuition deferment, academic bonuses, and fee payment assistance (must pass coursework with a “C-” or better)
In order to utilize Metro College benefits at UofL, interested participants must meet one of the following UofL academic-eligibility requirements:
Cumulative high school GPA of 3.3 or higher (GED 660)
Cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher (GED 600) and a 21 ACT/1060 SAT composite or superscore
60 transferable college credit hours or an associate degree
