Our program is an introduction to Track & Field. We do things such as stretching, running, playing games, and most of all we try to have a lot of fun. Throughout the year we teach the different events that we compete in. Our club participates in a number of local track meets throughout the year and we encourage our athletes to represent the club at these meets. We look forward to another great season.

Basketball is an evening of fun. Basic skills are taught and practiced. This is a non-competitive program although we hope to have some fun games with neighboring zones. At present there is no limit to the number of athletes who can participate.

The emphasis on Saturday bowling is on FUN with limited technical instruction given. This program runs for 20 weeks with a fun bowl at the end of the season. Spaces very limited. Only 3 wheelchair spaces available.

This program is more competitive than Saturday bowling and runs the same as a regular league, with athletes rolling off and committing to travel, if they are selected, (Those athletes who do not agree to travel should bowl Saturday). This program runs for 22 weeks with a banquet at the end of the season. All ability levels welcome and as a competitive program coaching is done to improve skills and techniques.

The program is continually growing and we had 28 bowlers this last year. We only have 32 spaces so you need to sign up early. We meet every Monday at Eastview Bowling alley on Louise Avenue. This year 4 teams took part in the Bob Pedde Tournament in Saskatoon and a Tournament in Regina We also have a Christmas party and a final wind up party. Preference will be given to those who have participated in previous years.

Team Rockstars (Special Olympics Saskatoon) is a not for profit curling program in Saskatoon for special needs adults. It was founded in 2003 and has now tripled in size. There are two streams: A competitive program Sundays at the Granite CC in Saskatoon, Canada. This program runs from October through March and the curlers participate in the CPO generic league, as well as regularly practice.

Equestrian give athletes the opportunity to build balance, strength, independence and agility through working with horses. The sport has many faces, but the three that CK focuses on will be English events, Western events and Showmanship:

The Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association has criteria for athletes that includes a clear atio-axial x-ray for any person with Down Syndrome and a weight limit of 180 lbs

Floor Hockey is a hybrid of hockey and ringette in one. Players use a straight stick with a felt tip end and a ringette style puck. Currently we have two teams, a competitive and a recreational team. A strong emphasis is placed on basic skills and general knowledge of the rules as well there is a strict enforcement of proper warm-ups, respect for opponents and team mates alike. The importance of fair play and sportsmanship is also taught.

Mall walking at Market Mall – a great way to get some exercise in the middle of winter and a chance to visit with friends as you walk. Everyone has a great time. Held on Monday evenings except in December.

Basic skills of snow shoeing are taught and practiced. Instruction given in a fun learning environment and includes activities and relays with a goal of working toward being Competitive, as well as the proper care of snow shoes New athlete and all abilities welcome.

Indoor and Outdoor Programs
NOTE: Indoor and Outdoor are two separate programs. If you want to be in both programs, you must register for both programs.
The Soccer programs are split into beginner and advanced. The beginner program is designed for athletes to learn/develop soccer and game skills in a fun atmosphere. The weekly practices consist of development drills and a scrimmage game. Soccer is open to all athletes.
The advanced program is designed for the more advanced athletes looking to play in a competitive atmosphere. Weekly practices focus on increasing skills. These players also have the opportunity to play in a generic adult soccer league. More information is available at Registration (numbers are limited).

The program will be open to athletes that have basic swimming ability. They should be prepared to swim repetitions of 25 and 50 metres. The athletes will be taught proper technique to improve their own abilities, as well as learning new strokes and skills associated with speed swimming. The program will run Wednesday evenings for three sessions, approximately 12 weeks each session, with travel to a couple of meets every year. Limit of 20 athletes each session.
