About Me

Hello, Spearfish!

I was born in Philadelphia and raised in Maryland. I spent a majority of my high school and college years traveling the country playing softball. After completing my bachelor's degree in journalism, I went back to school to obtain my master's degree in education, and I have been in the classroom ever since.  My husband and I moved to the Black Hills 12 years ago, and we live in Belle Fourche with our two daughters.  Most days I still feel like a city girl living in a country world, but I can't imagine calling anywhere else "home".

I'm excited to learn and explore with you this year!
