About Me
About Me
I hold the position of a 4th through 6th-grade teacher for gifted students at Joseph P. Liberati Intermediate School. In this role, I have the privilege of providing guidance to exceptional learners, fostering their intellectual growth and supporting their unique needs.
Experience:
From August 2008 until June 2023, I served as an instructional technology coach at SLMS, witnessing a remarkable expansion in the adoption of technology across the district and specifically within the Middle School. Throughout my career as a technology coach, I was dedicated to supporting educators in their efforts to integrate technology and achieve instructional transformation. I successfully collaborated with teams through proactive and data-driven planning. I provided valuable classroom support, guiding teachers on the effective use of technology tools and facilitating engaging lessons. I managed resources to ensure a smooth and efficient process, and I played an essential role in organizing and leading professional development initiatives, including academies, workshops, and small groups. I took great joy in establishing and facilitating a Technology Integration PLC, fostering a collaborative environment across 8 years. I have consistently empowered educators to create dynamic and innovative learning experiences for their students.
For eleven years, I co-advised the "What's So Cool About Manufacturing?" video contest at Southern Lehigh Middle School (SLMS), a program I continue to support. Additionally, from 2010 to 2023, I co-advised the SLMS TV Studio, where I was instrumental in fostering creativity, innovation, and the production of exceptional content. I continue to serve as the tech advisor for the studio, responsible for setting up and maintaining its equipment, and providing training for new teachers and staff.
During my tenure of four years as the CyberStart Program Manager at the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, I spearheaded a grant-funded initiative that aimed to equip early childhood educators with essential resources. This project encompassed the provision of complimentary classroom computers, printers, Internet access, software, and comprehensive teacher training.
I worked as a third-grade teacher at The Pocono School of Excellence Charter School, where I had the opportunity to contribute to the education of young students.
Education:
I received my Masters Degree from Bloomsburg University in Instructional Technology. I also have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Bloomsburg. I have both Elementary Education and Instructional Technology certifications.
